How much does apple take from in app purchases?

Apple takes a commission on in-app purchases made through the App Store, which is the platform that allows users to discover and download apps for their iOS devices. The specific commission that Apple takes on in-app purchases varies depending on the type of app and the location of the user making the purchase.

For paid apps and in-app purchases made through the App Store, Apple generally takes a 30% commission. This means that if you sell a paid app or an in-app purchase through the App Store, Apple will take a 30% cut of the sale price.

There are some exceptions to this general rule, however. For example, if you sell a subscription through the App Store, Apple’s commission is reduced to 15% after the first year of the subscription. Additionally, if you are a small business with less than $1 million in annual net sales on the App Store, Apple’s standard commission is reduced to 15%.

It is important to note that the specific terms and conditions for in-app purchases through the App Store may change over time, so it is always a good idea to check the latest guidelines to ensure that you are in compliance.
